Lady Kate and Baba Teddy are pleased to announce that Utu Witchdoctor has consented to help officiate in 'The Elevacion of Elijah McCoy' a ritual that is part storytelling, part music and all ritual of a legend who lived and died near where we are gathered. In keeping with this year's theme we have divined a ritual 'Order of Service' that is about how we can all 'elevate' ourselves in our community, our discourse and our actions. This is the sequel to the 'elevacion' of Harriet Tubman we performed last year and we will be taking it a (literal) step forward so please wear your 'whites' if you are moved to and shoes that will slip off easy as we return to 'The River' to 'con jure' as Utu describes in his new book 'Conjuring Harriet "Mama Moses" Tubman and the Spirits of the Underground Railroad'. All are welcome to participate in this ritual that has only been performed once in secret at his Conjuration Campout in Canada.
