Life's Last Transition: Care and Rituals for the Dying
For most of mankind's history, death held a natural place amongst the living. The dying remained in their homes, surrounded by loved one. Funerals were held at home, and the dead were buried in family plots. In the last 150 years, however, modern medicine and the funeral industry has removed and sanitized the dying process. We are no longer in touch with this last transition of life. In recent years, though, there has been an interest in bringing the dying home again. In this class we will discuss the work of End-of-Life Doulas, and how they help families care for their loved ones through the dying process, and what the dying process entails. We will also discuss how to create a specialized rituals for this transition period, and talk about home funerals and green burials.

The Meaning of Chesed- a History
The meaning of Chesed in AMHA (my earth oriented tribal Hebrew tradition) is seen as having changed over time :in ancient tribal Hebrews some aspect were emphasized ; others emerged after literacy, predominant aspects kept on shifting through medieval Kabbalistic thinking and yet again transmuted as people moved to modern times.
In this workshop we deepen our understanding of Chesed by considering its different aspects : we will have Q&A and a discussion about aspects of Chesed we may not have considered
and learn how this sephirah can be changeable yet eternal ,subtle yet still powerfully relevant as a healing and empowering force to our every day life. All are welcome

What’s So Great About the Great Rite?
Ask your average Witch about the great rite and they’ll probably respond with something about cups and athames or sex magick. But the great rite is about more than sexual coupling or half-hearted mini-rites before cakes and ale-the great rite is about the union of powerful forces, and most importantly, it’s for EVERYBODY. From the great rite in truth and in token, this is a workshop about sex in the ancient world, wine, magick, and more! It’s all about what’s so great about one of Wicca’s most misunderstood and divisive rites.

The Conversation - End of Life’s Kindest Gift
Young or old, making your End of Life wishes known is the kindest and most loving gift that you can give your loved ones. Knowing your loved ones wishes is a blessing beyond compare. Having ones End of Life wishes honored is much rarer than you would think. What do we need to do to have a chance that our wishes will be honored? What happens when no one knows and decisions needs to be made?
We are going to talk about Advance Care Planning for healthcare. Do your beliefs and ideas about end of life, death and afterlife differ from your family’s beliefs? Are you not really close with your birth family? Then, we really need to talk.
What do you need to know? What do you need to do? What needs to be included? Who needs to know? How do we start these conversations?

This is particularly significant as we are living in the time of the turning of the Ages.

Magical Medicine
Since prehistoric times, magic has been used to heal the sick and revive the dying. The historical line between enchantment and medicine is elusive at best. A mind-boggling array of methods and theories have been employed throughout the ages. Grimoires which banish the demons of disease, enchanted poultices, wound talismans, amulets and mojos, baths and potions—all are based on the seductive premise that the spiritual can restore the corporeal. In this class we will explore many of these systems, survey healing recipes, investigate eras when the doctor and witch doctor were one and the same, and discuss methods which may be used as complementary medicines today.

Transformative YOU!
Transitioning from childhood to adulthood is one of the biggest transformations we will make in our lifetimes. Transformation is more than just change. It is a change so radical that a shift in identity or form occurs. Even positive transformation is unsettling. How can we become allies with this powerful force? How can we move through our transformations with less fear and more grace? How do we become the artists of our own transformation?

Often we perceive that change is happening to us. However there is an alternative way to experience change and transformation, and it is one that works with the natural patterns of our world. This alternative way of experiencing allows and empowers us to be artists and creators of our own lives.
Come, sit in a circle of discovery and empowerment!

In this invocatory Ritual, we will witness the story of Prometheus, his gift to man, his sacrifice, Zeus’ wrath, and Hercules freeing of Prometheus. Our priests work with deity and speak on their behalf.
There will be a brief passion play followed by an invocation ritual working with Prometheus, Zeus, and Hercules.
This ritual will have drumming, chanting and meditation.

Q’ero (Peruvian) Fire Ceremony
Experience a profound level of healing change in your life by opening to the love of Pachamama (Mother Earth). We turn over an important issue in our lives to Her by placing a suitably tuned object into a ceremonially prepared fire. In return, we receive energy that specifically manifests the best that Pachamama can co-create with us. The pure traditions of the Andes Mountains, over 5,000 years old, still work, and work well. Though results are not guaranteed (that is between Pachamama and you), many people have radically changed the most important issue in their lives in just one Peruvian Fire Ceremony. But how, you may be asking, will James have a Fire Ceremony in a hotel? Come and find out! Part one will be indoors, part two outdoors.

Gnostic Mass
The Gnostic Mass is a beautiful ritual that celebrates the
mysteries of Thelema and OTO. It is a magical rite that
exemplifies the union of the individual Soul with the
Absolute, culminating in a eucharistic sacrament
embodying Life and Joy. The Mass is a recognition of every
person’s inherent sacredness, and so glorifies the
identification of the Self with the Divine.
Aleister Crowley wrote the Gnostic Mass in 1913 while
in Moscow. In many ways it is similar in structure to the Mass
of the Roman Catholic Church. No part of the Mass requires devotion
to any individual, historical or mythological, nor belief in
any supernatural event. The Mass does not include a
sermon or any ethical instructions beyond the summary of
the Law of Thelema, which is “Do what thou wilt.”

Spirit Companions 101
Just as human beings can have layered and complex relationships with one another, so too can spirits and humans forge friendships, mentorships, and even romantic bonds. What exactly is a "spirit companion"? How do you find one, or know if one has found you? Are they inherently good or evil? How can you tell if your experiences are real? (Spoiler: Only you get to decide that.) Come talk wi David, who has had his own unique SC experiences. Hear how he came to discover and understand his SC relationships, deal with doubt and frustration, and form a powerful, reciprocal bond with his spirits. Most of all, come with questions, and share your own experiences if you like - sometimes it helps just knowing that others have similar stories to tell.

The Making of a Guild - Building Initiation
The Guild of the Gods in Lafayette, Indiana has done something unusual: it has built a community out of many solitary practitioners. It has done this by NOT requiring agreement, not relying on dogma, and by building off of our differences, focusing on our diversity. We have begun an initiation process that works with the Wheel of the Year, reaching out for training and education while focusing on personal goals and direction. This class will give you the structure and the tools involved to set this in motion, including a chance to write your own personal contract to start you off.

Meta-Cosmology
Have you ever wondered where the universe came from? How it all really works? Science has made incredible strides in answering these two questions, particularly in the last century. However, modern science is still limited by two major factors: The testability of its theories as we approach ever smaller and more fundamental particles and interactions, and a cultural unwillingness to acknowledge the existence of Spiritual forces that lie well outside of current scientific theory. Meta-cosmology is the study of the origin and nature of Reality, which seeks to reconcile both the Physical and Spiritual nature of Reality into a unified model.
